Joey Reynolds Show: Saturday December 13th, 2003
Who is Joey Reynolds, you say?

The Schmendricks were treated like royalty early this morning by the cast and crew of the Joey Reynolds Show. Larry, Sam, and Phil (the silent schmen) were greeted by gifts, hugs, and huge plates of deli. The show opened at one in the morning to their "Jewish Hour" jingle amid head bobbing and finger snapping. The panel of guests was larger than normal and Sam got stuck inside the booth without a chair for the first half hour. (Was that deli good!) After the first break, the show reopened to "Bar Mitzvah Rock" with Goldi (and Myra) singing along...I did see Goldi shaking her shoulders along with the beat. The Schmendricks were ushered in, and the banter begun. Mickey Freeman (Zimmerman on the Phil Silvers show), Paul Dver, and of course Joey Reynolds asked the questions and Larry and Sam supplied the answers (and kept ahead of the one liners...both supplying quite a few of their own). "Going Out Tonight", the newly completed single was played along with "Eight Candles Gone" (with everyone singing the chorus) and it was time to go. Between commercials Joey cornered the three Schmens with his heartfelt thanks for the appearance and the Schmens burned into the night. Thanks to Joey Reynolds and his 4 million listeners!
